Find your way between ancient civilizations, Egyptian temples, Mummies, Medieval statues, famous painting after famous painting, Buddhas of every kind, Religious art works, Chinese legends, musical instruments you never knew existed and more! The Metropolitan Museum of Art is a maze that you could easily get lost in for an afternoon, if you didn’t have your trusty map.

In a race against time and the other teams, work together to:

Search for hidden carvings in the pillars of the Temple of Dendur
Decipher ancient Greek inscriptions that reveal the secret identity of a famous mummy
Figure out who was standing by as Socrates willingly drank his poison.
Find the identity of the Greek warrior who’s holding the head of a Gorgon.

Explore the secrets of DaVinci and Monet

Perhaps New York’s most memorable museum (because most of us took middle school field trips here), The American Museum of Natural History contains a vast array of exhibits – From huge meteorites, galaxies far…far away, jungles and elephants in Africa, massive and bizarre life from the deepest parts of the ocean, fossils from prehistoric eras, gems and precious stones of all kinds, and a seemingly infinite number of Earth critters on display!

Race through endless corridors and discover hidden secrets about exhibits on everything from the origins of life, dinosaur fossils, the inner workings of planet Earth, our oceans, our journey into space, ancient peoples, places and cultures and the fascinating creatures that inhabit this world.

In a race against time and the other teams, you’ll discover…

How much would you weigh if you were standing on a Neutron star?
Just what mysterious object is that ancient Mayan statue pointing at?

Did you know there are hundreds of art galleries in Chelsea? All year long, new exhibits of all kinds appear, by all sorts of artists (known and unknown). Classical paintings, modern art, funky, strange, bizarre sculptures, installations, photography and more! There’s no end to the interesting and provocative exhibits on display in the Chelsea galleries at any given moment.

Come with your own team of 4 or 5 friends, or make some new ones! In a race against time, and the other teams, you will:

Search for hidden, obscure and mind-blowingly strange art
Dig into the fine details of paintings, photographs & sculptures.
Discover up to 15 different galleries
Hunt for fascinating facts and points of interest throughout Chelsea’s Art Gallery district, which runs from 16th street to 28th street, between 10th & 11th Avenues

The Brooklyn Museum is one of the largest and oldest museums in the country, featuring art from a vast span of cultures around the globe, with everything from ancient to contemporary paintings, photographs and installations. Step outside of Manhattan and take a closer look at this gem.

If you thought that there were no museums outside of NYC’s Museum Mile worth your time, think again! Visit the Brooklyn Museum - a museum so grand that it even has its own newly renovated subway station. Explore the Egyptian Mummy Chamber, art by the Ainu people of Japan, a banquet table set for 39 of history’s most famous women and much, much more.

Haunted New York Scavenger Hunt

Booo! Eeek! New York City is crawling with all kinds of spooks and apparitions! There are loads of creepy cemeteries and haunted buildings, with stories of ghost sightings throughout the city’s history. Why, in Washington Square Park alone, over 15,000 people are buried. They sure did hang a lot of people there. We’ll see if you can find the tree they used.

Visit places in the Village and surrounding areas where ghouls have been known to prowl. Bring your Blackberries and iPhones. You’ll need Google for this one. And a flashlight too!

Explore the giant spires, cryptic graves, haunting stained glass windows, majestic statues, tombs of past notables, and fascinating history of NYC’s most famous cathedrals!

Go ‘Heere, at the Wall’ (like in National Treasure), and explore the graves, chapels and Gothic Revival Architecture of Trinity Church

Central Park keeps New Yorkers sane. Within its 843 acres of man-made greenery are countless hidden gems, attractions, fountains, statues, archways, movie scenes and and staples of New York iconography.

You may be one of the 35 million people who visit Central Park each year, but how well do you really know it? Put your knowledge to the test and win!
